The Asbury Immigration Study Small Group (“Welcoming the Stranger”) will be hosting Jessica Entwistle, Director of the Refugee Community Center of the Episcopal Church of the Mediator, on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in room 108, beginning at 6:30 PM. Jessica will be leading an informational presentation on the work of the Refugee Center as well as speaking on ways we can advocate for immigrants in our community.
Looking to make an impact in the community? Along with volunteer positions at the Refugee Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays, one of the upcoming needs is for volunteers to escort immigrants to court. They will be holding a training session around the end of August for those interested.
