Our committees are made of a wide diversity of our members whose Christian leadership, talents, and spiritual gifts help to provide the wisdom, guidance, and policy that steers Asbury Church. We hope you will consider serving on one of these committees (terms are usually three years in length). Church Council
Church Council is the head decision making committee in steering the direction of the church. For more information or questions, email churchcouncil@asburylv.org.
Staff Parish Relations Committee
The Staff Parish Committee acts as a liaison between the congregation and its staff and clergy. The committee sets employment policy, guides the work of the management team, and ensures Asbury is a fulfilling work environment. For more information or questions, email sprc@asburylv.org.
Board of Trustees
This Board is charged with the care and maintenance of church property and holds title to the church’s property, buildings, and equipment. Trustees must be at least 18 years of age. Key items include establishing policies and practices regarding church property and disaster planning. For more information or questions, email trustees@asburylv.org.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee develops and administers a coordinated plan of fiscal and administrative policies and procedures for the church. It oversees the financial health of the church, reviews the annual audit, provides financial direction, and communicates the church’s financial condition to the Church Council. Lay Leadership/Nominations Committee
The Lay Leadership/Nominations Committee oversees the identification, development, and care for the volunteer leaders at Asbury. Key initiatives include preparing the annual nomination slate and providing oversight of volunteer service and leadership development at the church. Endowment Fund Committee
The Endowment Fund Committee oversees specific gifts given to Asbury that are invested. The income from those investments can be spent depending upon the directions of the giver. For more information or questions, email endowmentfund@asburylv.org.
Memorial Garden Committee
The Memorial Garden Committee oversees Asbury’s Memorial Garden. For more information on the Memorial Garden, please call the church office at 610-398-2577.
