While school is just letting out for the summer, teachers at Ramos Elementary are already looking ahead towards next year; which means it’s time for Asbury’s annual school supplies drive to support our partner school. Over 90% of Ramos families live below the poverty level so students are in great need of school supplies in order to be successful. Place your donations in the tubs at the donation collections area across from the church office (on the lower level). Donations will be accepted through Sunday, August 10. Here’s what’s needed (no used items, please):
-
- Pencils (try for quality products — unfortunately dollar store pencils don’t hold up)
- Washable Crayola markers
- 2 pocket folders with prongs
- 2 pocket folders without prongs
- Glue sticks
- Jumbo glue sticks
- Erasers
- Stickers
- Plastic pencil boxes
- Fabric pencil pouches
- Composition books
- Crayons (again, name brand is preferred) with no more than 24 per box (it’s difficult for teachers to divide up the bigger boxes for individual students)
- Jumbo Crayola crayons
- Notebooks
- Highlighters
- Expo dry erase markers
- Kids Scissors
- Pencil grips
- Clipboards
- Lysol disinfectant wipes
- Clorox disinfecting cleaning wipes
- Paper towels (2-ply)
- Facial tissues, flat boxes
- Screen cleaner wipes for computers (see Swanky Cables wipes on Amazon)
Thanks for helping Ramos students with the tools they need this school year!
