The Sixth Street Shelter is needs your help!
They’re hosting a block party to celebrate the Shelter’s 40th anniversary. It will feature food trucks, games, a DJ, student performances, Shelter tours, and much more. Allentown’s mayor, who proclaimed June 6 as Sixth Street Shelter Day in 2023, will be speaking at the event.
Here’s where help is needed:
Friday, June 6, 2025 – Block clean-up, 10am-12pm
Saturday, June 7, 2025 – Volunteer at our block party, various shifts from 8am-4pm
