This Christmas season, join us as we proclaim the same message as the Christmas angels: Jesus Christ is born!
For 2,000 years Christians have turned to the story and message of John the Baptist in the weeks leading up to Christmas. In each of the Gospels, the story of Jesus is intertwined with his cousin John, the one whom the prophets foretold would come to “prepare the way of the Lord.” Join us as we explore the Advent themes of John’s life and ministry, and how John calls all followers of Jesus to prepare our hearts for his coming.

Women, don’t miss this opportunity to fellowship and celebrate the Christmas season! This year’s UWIF Christmas Luncheon will be held on Sunday, December 8 in the Wesley Center following the 11 AM worship service. Entertainment will be provided by a Chorale Group from Northwestern Lehigh High School. This annual luncheon is a great time for Asbury ladies and guests to enjoy fellowship, have a wonderful meal, and hear some delightful Christmas music – a great way to start the Christmas season!

The Jubilation Ringers of Asbury United Methodist Church are pleased to present their annual Christmas concert: Christmas “Bronze and Brass.” Their guest artist this year is Ken Brader’s Holiday Brass Quartet—a trumpet quartet founded by the late, legendary trumpeter, Ken Brader.
Director Jackie Grove says “we will be pulling out all the stops in celebration of this joyful season: several selections will combine the bronze (bells), the brass (trumpets), the organ, and your congregational voices. Expect the rafters to be raised!! We look forward to seeing you at what promises to be a triumphant festival of Christmas joy!”
No tickets required. A free-will offering will be taken to defray expenses.

Led by Rev. Evelyn Stupp, Asbury’s Pastor of Bereavement and Care Ministries, Quiet Christmas is a gathering to experience God’s hope and healing in the midst of grief, relationship/job loss or other life transitions/events that weigh us down. The service will include hymns and special music, scripture and reflection, prayers and candle lighting. All are welcome.
